the gesture
An hour of grinding for thirty grams.
Grinding is the slowest step in the entire process. Two granite millstones turn slowly so as not to heat the leaf.

The bowl
The bowl, and nothing else.
Seika is an ichibancha. The first buds of the year, highest in L-theanine, picked once and then hand-sorted.
This density is only revealed in water. A cloud of milk is enough to cover it, and what you paid for precisely disappears. Two grams of Seika, seventy milliliters of 70°c water, nothing more.
- bitterness None

They tasted it.
What they say about it.
The first matcha I've drunk without bitterness. The difference with what I found in organic shops is incomparable.
I had been drinking coffee for 10 years. Seika gradually became part of my routine without me even realizing it. Now it sets the tone for my day.
Incomparable with what you find in supermarkets. Seika has a real flavor, sweet and without bitterness.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Everything you need to know about our matchas.
Seika is our exceptional ceremonial grade: stone-ground Ichibancha, zero bitterness. Hiraki is the classic ceremonial, balanced and vegetal. Saku is the superior culinary grade, with a bold flavor that holds up to cooking.
The origin does not change. The use and grade do.
Bitterness comes from inferior quality, water that is too hot, or over-dosing. Our tea plants are shaded several weeks before harvesting. This technique concentrates L-theanine and reduces the tannins responsible for bitterness.
Our three matchas come from Uji, in the Kyoto region, the historical birthplace of matcha for over 800 years. Family farm, shade-grown, hand-picked, stone-ground. Only one harvest per year.
1g contains approximately 25 to 35mg of caffeine, the equivalent of a light espresso. 2g, approximately 50 to 70mg, which is a classic coffee. L-theanine slows down caffeine absorption: stable energy for 4 to 6 hours, without peaks or crashes.
Sift 1g into a bowl. Add 70ml of water at a maximum of 75°C. Whisk in a W shape for 15 to 20 seconds.
For a latte: whisk 1g with a little hot water, then top up with 150ml of hot or cold milk.
No. An electric frother works very well for everyday use. The main thing is to dissolve the powder thoroughly to avoid lumps.
